In this short animation series, director Boryana Ivanova paints intimate portraits of Syrian men and women who not only survive but also prevail the overwhelming situations confronting them.
Yasmine is a journalist writing about women and the war, turning herself and her family into enemies to both the regime and Islamist groups. Yasmine's 70-year-old father is soon arrested and dies in incarceration. Instead of giving way to sorrow, after her father’s death, Yasmine decides to turn to what she feels most passionate about: writing; and becomes the founder of "Lady of Syria", the first women's magazine in the country.
